In the Beef Industry, we are in the business of producing high quality protein. As with any product, demand is critical to product movement and profitability. 

At Land O'Lakes Feed we are interested in nutrition.  Nutrition of livestock, but also the nutrition of consumers that buy and enjoy high quality meat products.

One of the added benefits that Land O'Lakes and their member cooperatives offers to the Beef Industry is support of innovative programs like the attached Sports Nutrition booklets.  These were developed through a grant to the Iowa Beef Industry Council to help coaches understand the importance of meat protein in the diet of the student athlete.  It takes more than just carbohydrate loading to get optimum athletic performance.
